Robert E. Deuel CPA
Robert E. Deuel CPA has been part of the Global Tax Service Team since September 2005. He specializes in the preparation of U.S. tax returns and foreign account reports for U.S. taxpayers in the Caribbean, Central America, and South America. He attended schools in Bolivia and Uruguay, and universities in Uruguay, the United States and Brazil. Robert graduated from the University of South Carolina where he attended the Darla Moore School of Business and earned degrees in Accounting and International Business, with a minor in Portuguese. Some of his previous work experiences include working at the United States Embassy in Montevideo, Uruguay and working at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in New York City, New York. Robert, together with his wife and son, enjoys spending time with family / friends, and traveling.
Anna Lina McLaughlin EA
Anna Lina McLaughlin has been working for GTS for over five years and her area of responsibilities are clients from Southeast Asia and the United States. She was born in Krefeld, Germany, earned her law degree at the University of Muenster, Germany in 2013 and graduated from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina with a Masters in International Business in December 2014. Mrs. McLaughlin’s international interests began early in her student career. After her second year in German law school she interned with the Charlotte International Cabinet, a non-profit organization in Charlotte, NC followed by a three months internship with the American – German BridgeHouseLaw Firm in Charlotte, NC. Upon completion of law school, she worked in a local accounting firm in Krefeld, Germany where she started gathering and improving her tax preparing skills. A German native with legal as well as tax experience in Germany and the United States, Mrs. McLaughlin concentrates on the best interests of her clients through research and collaboration. She enjoys cooking, hiking, and long walks on the beach.
Rick Gray CPA
Rick Gray is a retired US Army military officer that has been working as a Certified Public Accountant since his retirement approximately thirty years ago. Mr. Gray is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Pre-Law; he completed his accounting course work at Montgomery College in Rockville, MD. Mr. Gray founded Global Tax Service shortly after his retirement from the military while living in Uruguay. He currently resides in Columbia, SC, with his wife Elizabeth.
Diego Padelford EA
Diego Padelford is an Enrolled Agent specializing in U.S. and foreign tax. He is dedicated to helping clients make intelligent financial decisions and ethically minimize tax liability. With his help, international employees can reduce their taxes, comply with tax filing requirements and avoid penalties and audits. His patience and determination ensure that every client is treated with high regard. Mr. Padelford attended universities in Mexico, Sweden, and the United States. He earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration with a double major in International Business and Economics from the University of South Carolina. He is currently the coordinator for clients in Africa, Europe, and Mexico. He is fluent in Spanish and English. In his spare time, Diego enjoys the outdoors, cooking, water skiing, playing golf, traveling and spending time with his family.
Rob McLaughlin EA
Reid Smiley is a native of Fort Mill, SC and a Retiree from the US Navy (2010) as a Chief Petty Officer (Human Resource Specialist). Mr. Smiley is a graduate of the University of Phoenix with bachelors in Business Management in 2012. He currently resides in Lexington, SC with his wife Ann and two daughters. In addition to serving as the Office Management Specialist for Global Tax, Mr. Smiley is an avid wood worker.
